A lease is a non-exclusive license: you pay once, you get the untagged MP3 and WAV (trackouts too, where the beat has them), and you can record, release and sell your song within the limits of that license. The same beat stays on the site for other artists to lease. The license PDF arrives in your name the minute you pay, with the files, so there is no waiting on a reply.
Exclusive rights mean the beat becomes yours alone. On the Exclusives page every beat is $50, or 3 for $100, and it comes off the site the day it sells. For a beat in the Label Ready or Southern Soul list, tap "Exclusive · Make an offer" and name your price; Cook answers by email, usually within a day, and the signed contract comes with the files.
Which one? If you are putting the song on streaming and shooting a video, start with the Cook Up Lease. If the song is going to radio, paid shows, or you expect it to run past the stream limits, get Cook Unlimited. If you need to be the only artist on that beat, buy it exclusive.

AI-assisted elements. A small number of beats (currently three) include audio elements made with AI tools. Any such beat is marked AI-assisted at the point of sale, and every license carries an AI-assisted elements clause: your license covers the beat as a whole, but exclusive copyright over the isolated AI-generated elements themselves is not guaranteed. Details in the terms of service.
Start with the license that matches where your song is today. The agreement explains what you can release, monetize, perform and distribute, and you can always ask if anything is unclear.

Cook Up and Cook Unlimited are non-exclusive licenses. Exclusive purchases are for one buyer and remove the beat from future sale. Review the exact agreement before checkout; it defines the rights included with your purchase.
Yes. Instantly after you've made the purchase, you will receive an email with links to download your files and license agreement(s).
If a beat has already been sold exclusively it is off the market and cannot be licensed again. Let us know what you were after and we can point you to something similar or produce a custom beat for you.
